Those of us putting together the Moms Who Make It 2009 Conference feel like we won the lottery finding Utah Celebrations Catering to do our conference dinner buffet. Seriously. These guys are GOOD.
And, they have an EXCELLENT marketing strategy, offering customers considering using their services the opportunity to come to a “tasting” to sample their food and know if they want to hire them. Emily & I went to the tasting expecting teeny, tiny samples of their food… we expected a “tasting.” However, we show up and they’ve got linens on the tables, the food is in their chafing dishes & fancing serving dishes (which are so clever and creative, btw).
There’s also an abundance of food to sample. Em & I had roll ourselves out of there afterwards from being so stuffed, sampling everything. I don’t want to market them as providing a huge buffet for their tastings because the abundance of food may not always be a part of their tastings, however I’m sure the presentation and quality are ALWAYS there. The biggest things Em & I kept dying over was how the food tasted so dang delicious! It did not taste like “catered” food sometimes does. This tasted like good ol’ fashioned home cookin’ on steroids, pumped full of plate-lickin’ flavor in every bite.
We knew we had to get the Backstage Bloggers over there to sample the food so they could also attest to the quality & yumminess & help us spread the word about it. Our trip back with the Backstage Bloggers did NOT disappoint. Everything was phenomenal – once again – to which our Backstage Bloggers are still talking about. They all get the same crazy look in their eyes, like they wish they could fully express just how scrumptious the food will be at MWMI ‘09, but can’t find adequate words to describe it (I may be exaggerating slightly, but they really did LOVE it).
Utah Celebrations Catering has delicious food because of their Chef, Steven. He’s highly trained & does catering because he always wanted to. Chef Steven’s love for quality, combined with his passion for having beautiful, delicious food accompany life’s celebrations, truly shines in the dishes he prepares. Lani, his partner, always wanted to do catering. She had mentioned it to Steven years prior & one day he approached her and asked if she still wanted to pursue that dream. Lani and Steven have made a great team ever since. They’re currently remodeling a new facility for their office that will also serve a dual purpose of being a beautiful building for their customers to rent for their weddings, events and parties.
So if you’re like me and your degree of being invested in attending things depending on the quality of food, then take our word on this: the dinner buffet at Moms Who Make It will be well-worth coming. I’m counting down the days until I can eat the food again.
Yum. Yum. Yum.
