Inspired by the MWMI ‘09 Backstage Bloggers

Those of us working on the Moms Who Make It 2009 Conference are in LOVE with our incredible, amazing, fabulous, talented, generous, beautiful Backstage Bloggers!!!  These are 6 “sexy” mamas that we hand-picked to be our exclusive press/representatives for the Moms Who Make It 2009 Conference.  Each of them has a well-established blog here locally in Salt Lake City and has generous given space and lovely blog posts to help spread the word about Moms Who Make It 2009.  They are all busy, busy mommies, but are committed to supporting this Conference because they really believe in the theme.  As moms life can be hard to balance everything & still pursue our dreams, but it is possible and this Conference will leave everyone excited to go after their dreams and pursue their passions; we’re unleashing creativity while having a fabulously fun day with scrumptious food and inspiring speakers.

Here’s a brief (I could go on FOREVER) intro about all 6 Backstage Bloggers to help you get to know why we love them and chose them:

I Never Grew Up Button Vanessa - I Never Grew Up – Oh, sweet Vanessa!  If you’ve ever met Vanessa in real life, I’m sure you immediately fell in love with her.  Vanessa is one of the kindest, sweetest people that I know.  I don’t think she could raise her voice if she tried.  I love Vanessa’s creativity with her kids.  She showcases such clever projects on her blog that I am always inspired by.  I love how at her brand new house she has her sofa table reserved as the “nature table” for her kids to collect things they find in nature to display.  Vanessa, along with her talented husband, Ty, have been extremely instrumental in helping us improve all the MMWMI ‘09 Conference material, along with helping us have the courage to get the info out to the media so that even more moms can be touched by MWMI ‘09.  We love you Vanessa and are so grateful for your enthusiasm and support.

Phemomenon buttonHolly – Phe.Mom.Enon/The Hive – Wonderful, Holly!!!  Holly is such an angel.  Honestly, I don’t think there’s a mean bone in her body.  I am especially endeared to Holly because she is a food blogger (I am a food photographer); in fact, Holly started an awesome blog project called “The Hive” for all the local food bloggers to submit their posts to and get to know one another, establishing community.  Holly is a very talented event planner, in fact she does this for a profession.  Recently, we were overwhelmed about all the preparations for MWMI ‘09 and weren’t going to have a SLC Mom’s Night Out, but Holly stepped up and made it happen.  She’s pulled the entire night together and it’s going to be spectacular!  Holly is such a loving, wonderful person.  She makes everyone feel wonderful just to be around her.  She may be soft-spoken, but she has a fiercely sweet, generous, strong love for those in her life.  We completely adore you, Holly!!!

Sweet Life in the Valley ButtonApril – Sweet Life in the Valley – Beautiful April!!  April is so brilliantly creative that it astounds me!  Every time I talk to her she’s got yet another amazing, creative idea/plan she’s working on.  April has seen her share of trial and heartache and life and lives with a pure, constant strength that rubs off on everyone around her.  When in her presence, you feel like you can conquer whatever lies in your path; she breeds strength and confidence.  April is a very talented photographer and her blogs are beautiful, especially because of that.  I love all the fun things she is constantly finding right under our noses.  Just about every time I see April she has some new, precious trinket she’s found and they always have some sentimental value, which I love.  April is the definition of creativity and is a strong mother.  April is a single mom who is constantly working on making her and her children’s dreams come true.  We love you so much, April!  Thank you for your support!

Sell Party of Three ButtonEvonne – Sell Party of Three – Gorgeous, bubbly Evonne!!!  Evonne is the life of the party.  I love reading her comments via her blog, Facebook and Twitter because she always has the most optimistic, genuine love for life, regardless of what she’s writing about.  Recently Evonne has been sick with swine flu (of all things) and after posting that, she soon was posting how “Van,” her daughter, was dancing for her and making her laugh.  I know that Evonne is intrinsically delighted with life, her husband and her daughter (her ray of sunshine).  Evonne’s happy spirit is contagious.  You can’t be in a bad mood while Evonne is around; impossible.  And if you’re down, Evonne always has something sweet and hilarious that will part the storm clouds in your day.  Evonne is a team player who isn’t afraid to work hard and persevere.  I most admire Evonne for how she supports her husband in pursuing his dreams; they have a really neat relationship that has come from the refiner’s fire.  We absolutely think the world of you, Evonne!  You are such a delight!

Keeping Up with MomJoanie – Keeping Up With Mom – Quiet, HILARIOUS Joanie!!!  Oh my goodness; Joanie makes me laugh so hard; my sides truly split when she’s around.  Joanie is pretty reserved and quiet in public, but she has the most delightful, subtle sense of humor.  I love keeping track of her internet escapades.  Her Twitter page is cracking me up right now because she has the funniest background image (you just have to see it).  Aside from Joanie’s sense of humor, she has a huge heart.  She really loves to help those around her that cross her path.  I love her “$5 Paper Airplane” adventures where she gives $5 bills folded like airplanes to people in need that she sees on the streets (most often the homeless).  It’s such a clever, sweet way to make someone’s day brighter.  Whenever I need a pick-me-up I check Joanie’s blog and always feel better.  I also really love how supportive she is to her husband, especially letting him drill a cup holder to their bed; seriously, better wife than I am.  We love you to death, Joanie!  Thank you for keeping this fun and richly meaningful.

supermomcentralLauren – SuperMom Central – Sweet sunshine, Lauren!!!  When you first meet Lauren, you notice this strange phenomenon: you feel like the most beautiful, wonderful person she’s ever met.  She has an incredible gift at making everything glow around her.  In all our pictures at our events, Lauren is always smiling a GORGEOUS smile; it’s intoxicating.  I love getting lost in her joy and zest for life.  Lauren truly is a “SuperMom.”  Amid all her motherly duties, the one she takes most seriously is having fun with her kids; they have a ball!  I also love how Lauren is such a strong supporter of MWMI ‘09.  Upon hearing about it, she wrote me right away and offered her help; said she’d even fold programs or do whatever she could to help.  I love her enthusiasm and the light and joy she brings to the MWMI ‘09 preparations.  We’re so grateful to have Lauren involved with MWMI ‘09!  She is such a sweetheart and lifts our load with her bright outlook and smiles.

As you can see, we hand-picked wonderful, down-to-earth mom-bloggers.  Our goal with this Conference is for everyone to interact with each other; speakers and attendees chatting, sponsors and bloggers chilling and laughing together.  We really want everyone to come and feel welcome and enlightened.  We’ve worked hard to select women that we feel represent the theme of MWMI ‘09 and know you’ll love rubbing shoulders with them!

So what you’re saying is you think the cup holder on my bed is ugly. That’s okay. It is.

Wow. These descriptions are so kind and wonderful I almost freakin’ cried while reading one of them. While reading mine I was thinking, wow, I guess I am pretty awesome….. ;-)

You are my most favorite Quinn of all time! Even better than Dr. Quinn Medicine woman! Okay, that is the only other Quinn I can even remember ever hearing about, but that’s NOT the point! Thank you for letting me be apart of this awesome event and getting a chance to get to know everyone involved a little better! Love you guys! :)

(OH! I remember another Quinn….from junior high. Her phone number was (916) 555-QUIN and I remember thinking that was soooo cool. But she was a bitch. So you win.)
